WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF HYDRO DIPPING?

Hydro dipping is a way to transfer graphics to objects, vehicles & furniture without printing equipment or the use of paint. This process entails the placement ofa special film on the surface of the water which is held in a hydro tank. A chemical solution is then sprayed onto the film where you insert the selected item. The film is dissolved into the water & this is where the transfer printing takes place.

IS HYDROGRAPHICS PERMENANT?

Hydrographics, also known as Hydro dipping, is part paint based printing process. Once the selected item is painted and hydro dipped, they are then protected with an automotive grade clear coat of paint. This is a permanent change but in saying that this doesn’t mean you cannot paint over it if you decide that you would like to change the look down the line.

HOW LONG DOES HYDROGRAPHICS LAST?

A typical lifespan for the hydrographic film adhered to an item is generally around five to fifteen years. For many of the items that are hydrodipped, the technique & finishing result would last the full lifespan of the object. Items that are not handled much, such as a vase or ornament would most likely have a much longer lifespan than something such as a mobile phone case or a pen which is used and handled more regularly.
